There was an item in the art news recently. A painting of water lilies by Claude Monet fetched $65.5 million at Sotheby’s. French impressionist Claude Monet (1840 – 1926) did well over two hundred paintings of water lilies growing in his garden at Giverny, France.

I too love water lilies. My art is mostly to photograph them. Every so often I take one of my photos and make a bit of cafe art out of it.
Mine total nowhere near as many as Claude did – but I am happy with my images. None of mine are for sale, but I would not at all be opposed to see a good offer for a print. It could even be framed, although not as fancy.

For some of my other water lilies see my post over at Ludwig.Gallery.
