On the First Day …
Well, I did not have a post for the First Day of Christmas in the series that Margaret at Pyrenees to Pennines had lured me into. When I had searched through my archives I joined in later on. There were two candidate photos for the first day. Seems fitting that I share them here.

As best as I can remember, I have never met a partridge. I have no idea what kind of tree that is in the photo above. Besides, it is a fake bird. So this clearly would not do.

Not a partridge here either, it is a waxwing, and it isn’t a pear tree but a crabapple tree. Just try singing …
