“Feed Me!!”
For weeks my friends have been following a green heron couple as they built their nest, laid eggs, incubated them, and are now feeding the chicks.
I was finally able to accept their invitation to come see and photograph the chicks.
Feeding time is the most fascinating as the chicks compete for their share.

How fabulous to be able to see all this, and to record it. Thanks for sharing these photos.
Thank you, Margaret. My friends have spent more time and have a wonderful collection of photos. Much better than mine. Alas, they have not yet published them.
You’re too modest.
What a wonderful series of photos of these chicks, Ludwig, which i would not have seen otherwise. The mother is so colorful and it’s obvious the chicks will look like her as they fledge. Your friends do have a lot of patience.
Thank you, Beatrice. Wildlife photography does demand a lot of patience. Something I don’t have.
