Norcross in Pictures

Color in Norcross

It was just a year ago when I posted here “When in Norcross Take Pictures“. Little did I imagine that a year later the topic would be most relevant. More on that farther down.

But I must back up a little. I very rarely enter contests but did so twice recently. Norcross Gallery & Studios announced a contest, “Norcross – Our Home is Your Home” and I decided to participate. Norcorss has been a favorite place, not just for taking photos but mostly for its charm, its fascinating stores, and delightful restaurants, but above all its wonderful festivals. I have a fair collection of photos taken over the years. Here are some of my scenes from this little old – and new – town.

Here are some charming homes.

Buildings in Norcross – starting with City Hall.

The real charm of Norcross is not in its buildings, rather it is in the streets and the live that goes on there.

I very much love the events that take place in Norcross. One of my favorites over the years has been the Gateway International Festival.

The Atlanta Care Fayre is always fun and photogenic.

And there is much, much more.

Just ten years ago GNPA held a judged exhibit, Images of Nature, at the Rectory. I entered a couple of my photos and they were selected, one of them, Hover Fly, even got a ribbon.

As I said, entering contest is not something I do very often. Of the two that I entered this year one was a total disappointment – never heard back from the organizer. The other was the Norcross – Our Home is Your Home contest organized by Norcross Gallery & Studios. I entered the three photos below and was delighted that all were included in the exhibit.
